We initially set out to pay homage to the iconic legends that we grew up watching in the 1990’s - while featuring the many characters, elements, and references from Batman's vast mythos and histories - without following any one particular plotline which currently exists. We'd incorporated many nods to “Batman: The Animated Series”, along with with the darker designs from “Tim Burton’s 1989 feature film” and some of the canonical happenings in DC’s prior works. DC unfortunately rejected this proposal, and now we are working on adapting this into a fully illustrated novel.
